November 16th, ONE 173 in Tokyo, Japan — the biggest stage in ONE Championship history. A fight card for the ages, destined to break all the records!

And our very own Denis “The Bosnian Menace” Puric is stepping into the ring to face Japanese superstar Takeru, in what promises to be one of the most explosive matchups of the night!!

But this fight is more than a headline.

It’s a story of belief, manifestation, and the relentless pursuit of greatness.

A Vision Before the Opportunity

Back in May, Denis walked through our doors at the ALP Training Institute without a contract, without a confirmed fight — but with a mission.

“I want to be in the best shape of my life,” he told me. “For when the call comes.”

That’s not the mindset of someone hoping for a break. That’s the mindset of someone creating one.

So, we got to work. Every detail mattered — his power, conditioning, mobility, recovery, mindset. Denis trained like the opportunity already existed, and soon enough, it did.

By July, the whispers began. Takeru had 8 potential contenders to fight against, ONE Championship had the world vote.

In August, it was official: Puric vs. Takeru, November 16th, Japan, ONE 173

That’s manifestation in action — aligning belief, behavior, and preparation so precisely that the universe has no choice but to meet you halfway.

The Stakes Couldn’t Be Higher

On the same historic card, Rodtang — the face of Muay Thai — is fighting for the vacant flyweight belt.

The winner of Denis vs. Takeru gets the next shot at that title.

For Denis, this fight isn’t just about victory. It’s about redemption. It’s about earning another chance to face Rodtang and fight for the belt he’s envisioned holding for years.

This is what every fighter dreams of — and Denis is living it in real time.

A Full-Circle Moment

For me personally, this moment is surreal. It’s been 13 years since I’ve cornered a professional fighter, and now I get to return to that role — on the world stage — as part of Denis’ coaching team.

When he asked me to be in his corner for Japan, it wasn’t just an honor; it was a full-circle moment. The years, the lessons, the evolution — all converging in one place, one night.

Watching Denis prepare has been a masterclass in discipline. No shortcuts. No ego. Just purpose. He embodies everything ALP stands for: Active. Lifestyle. Performance.

Every rep, every recovery session, every mindset adjustment — all executed with intent. He’s not training just to fight; he’s training to become his best version, everyday.

And folks - this version of Denis is in SHAPE!!!

This Is More Than a Fight

November 16th isn’t just another date. It’s a statement.

Denis didn’t wait for opportunity — he built it.

He believed in it before anyone else did.

And now, he’s about to show the world what happens when vision, preparation, and heart collide.

For the ALP family, this is bigger than one athlete or one fight.

It’s proof of what we teach every day — that when your body, mind, and mission align, anything becomes possible. Yes we work with elite and professional athletes, but we also work with active adults and the goals are always the same - become the best version of yourself, everyday!
