Adam Lloyd is the founder & owner of the ALP Training Institute and creator of the ALP Method — a transformative, three-pillar approach to optimizing health, performance, and well-being.

 

With over 20 years of experience, Adam has dedicated his career to redefining what it means to train, perform, and thrive. His mission is simple: challenge the status quo and unlock the hidden potential of every individual so they can crush any curveball life throws their way!

DANNY MCQUIGGIN

Danny brings almost 2 decades of experience as a fitness professional, spending 15 of those years at Goodlife - leading and learning at one of the biggest fitness companies in Canada!!⁣

Danny's dedication to health and performance was clear when we met Danny and his wife Kim when they joined ALP-TI as members in 2019. It was awesome watching them crush workouts together as Danny and Kim compete in powerlifting competitions. ⁣

From powerlifting, to fitness competitions, ironmans, and hockey - this guy has a TON of athletic and performance development experience!!⁣

ALENA REENDERS

Alena started at ALP as a personal trainer in early 2022, specializing in pelvic floor health, functional performance, and volleyball athletic development. Recently, Alena has grown her skillset by becoming a fully Registered Kinesiologist. This has helped vault Alena's already great ability to a whole new level to provide top level care to anyone who wants to reclaim their strength, function, and confidence allowing them to resume their desired level of activity - maybe even with an upgrade or 2!


With experience in the rehabilitation field for over three years, Alena works with individuals to help mitigate chronic pain and return to their previous level of fitness after injuries. She does this through incorporating effective movement patterns, optimizing muscle activation, and correcting imbalances. This approach allows people to become better connected to their bodies while evolving into the strongest version of themselves!  


Alena’s experience of playing volleyball throughout her university years has led her to become a dedicated coach across various age groups and skill levels immediately after graduation in 2021. Having gained invaluable life lessons from her own journey as an athlete, from the nuances of sport-specific skills to the resilience fostered through overcoming challenges, she has really grown the desire to pass along these insights to young athletes to set them up for success both on the court and in life.


Driven by a commitment to holistic well-being, Alena is not just focused on elevating fitness levels but is dedicated to nurturing a mindset that empowers individuals to embrace healthier lifestyles. Whether on the court, in the gym, or within the realms of rehabilitation, Alena's dedication to facilitating transformative journeys highlights her passion for enhancing lives through the power of movement and mindful living.

DANIEL RICO

ISSA Certified Personal Trainer 

Strength & Performance Coach / Personal Trainer

Daniel is a dedicated and passionate student of human health and performance who is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Redeemer University. 

 

His journey in health and fitness began at the age of 12 where he also competed full-time as a martial artist, which allowed him to understand the struggle and balance of being a competitive athlete at a young age and through his teenage years.

 

Daniel had his first experience in coaching as a martial arts instructor and this exposure to coaching fostered his lifelong passion for helping others achieve their best self. This has led Daniel to applying for and recently completing an internship with us here at ALP in the spring (2024) where he got to learn and apply our ALP method both in his own life and with clients. 

 

Now, a part time Strength Coach at ALP, while Daniel is completing his Kinesiology degree at Redeemer University He continues to gain valuable experience at his Redeemer Strength and Coaching internship, where he works with collegiate-level athletes in volleyball, basketball, and soccer.

GABRIELLA GALEOTA

Gabriella Galeota is a passionate and dedicated personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach with a strong foundation in kinesiology and a lifelong connection to sports and fitness. With nearly two years of professional experience, Gabriella brings both academic knowledge and practical expertise to her clients, helping them achieve their health and performance goals.

Gabriella graduated from the University of Guelph-Humber with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Kinesiology. Her education provided her with a comprehensive understanding of human movement, injury prevention, and performance optimization. Beyond her academic achievements, Gabriella’s hands-on experience includes internships working with youth athletes, the general population, and physiotherapy assistant roles in clinical settings. This diverse background has given her the skills to connect with individuals of all ages and fitness levels.

A lifelong athlete, Gabriella played soccer competitively for many years and continues to stay active in the sport recreationally. Her personal experience as an athlete has fueled her passion for helping others improve their strength, mobility, and overall performance. She specializes in hypertrophy training, plyometrics, and mobility work, focusing on helping clients build a strong, functional foundation while enhancing their physical capabilities.

Gabriella’s mission extends beyond just physical training—she strives to make a meaningful impact on her clients’ lives, both physically and mentally. She believes that fitness is not only about building strength but also about fostering confidence, resilience, and a positive mindset.

MATTEO ERASMI

Certified Personal Trainer 

Strength & Performance Coach / Personal Trainer​​​

Matteo is a passionate advocate and lifelong student of human health and performance, currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University.

 

From a young age, he immersed himself in athletics, playing a wide variety of sports with a special focus on competitive soccer. His journey included year-round training and competition, including his time with a Regional-level U15 soccer team that actually trained right here at ALP! Competing at a high level gave Matteo firsthand insight into the physical and mental demands placed on athletes. It has instilled in him a deep appreciation for the role that proper training, recovery, and discipline play in long-term performance.

His coaching career began in soccer, where he continues to lead a competitive team. This experience has sharpened his ability to both teach and inspire athletes, blending technical skill development with the motivation needed to thrive under pressure. Matteo has also applied his growing expertise through hands-on experiences, including his performance coaching internship at ALP Training Institute in the summer of 2025. Combined with his academic studies at McMaster, he continues to expand and refine his knowledge of strength, conditioning, and human performance.

 

Now, as he builds his career in the health, fitness, and athletic performance field, Matteo brings his competitive background, coaching experience, and passion for helping others to every athlete he works with making him a valued part of the ALP team.

ZOE PIERORAZIO

Certified Personal Trainer 

Strength & Performance Coach / Personal Trainer​​​

Zoe Pierorazio is a caring and dedicated Personal Trainer and Performance Coach currently completing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology at McMaster University.

Her passion for movement began early, when she was accepted into a pre-professional ballet program at age nine. Performing at an elite level gave her firsthand insight into the physical and mental demands placed on athletes. Although ballet wasn’t her final path, it sparked a lifelong fascination with human performance that later led her to rugby—and eventually, to strength training.

In high school, Zoe discovered her love for the gym while lifting with her rugby team to improve on-field performance. She quickly became captivated by how training made her feel: strong, confident, and unstoppable. During the pandemic, she deepened her curiosity by learning how to train effectively anywhere, which solidified her decision to study kinesiology and explore the science behind movement.

As her studies evolved, Zoe developed a strong interest in psychology and the connection between movement and mental well-being. She believes fitness should strengthen both body and mind—a philosophy that aligns seamlessly with the ALP Method’s holistic approach.

Now a part-time Strength Coach at ALP, Zoe brings empathy, energy, and purpose to every session. Outside the gym, she’s an avid rock climber, runner, hiker, and dedicated lifter. Guided by her belief in the power of movement, Zoe helps clients build strength, confidence, and resilience—whether they’re new to training, recovering from injury, or chasing their athletic potential.

KATIE SPADONIPT,

PT, MSc(PT), BScH KIN, FRCms

Registered Physiotherapist 

Katie has always been fascinated by how the human body moves, performs, and heals. Growing up as a multi-sport athlete competing in volleyball, soccer, basketball, and golf, she developed an early appreciation for the connection between movement, performance, and recovery. That passion for athletic performance led her to earn an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Queen’s University in 2015—where she also competed as a member of the Women’s Varsity Volleyball Team and discovered firsthand the value of proper injury prevention and rehabilitation.

After graduation, Katie spent two years working as a Kinesiologist in a clinical setting, helping clients rebuild strength, improve mobility, and regain confidence in their bodies. Her drive to expand her expertise (and her love for travel) then took her across the Atlantic to Aberdeen, Scotland, where she earned her Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Robert Gordon University.

Today, as a Registered Physiotherapist, Katie brings an evidence-based, results-driven approach to care—bridging the gap between rehab and performance. She integrates manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, active release, cupping, acupuncture, corrective exercise, and education to deliver comprehensive, individualized treatment plans for every client.

Certified as both a Functional Mobility Specialist and in Functional Range Conditioning® (FRC), Katie empowers her clients to move better, feel stronger, and perform at their highest level—whether that means returning from injury, enhancing athletic performance, or simply moving through life with more freedom and confidence.

Her mission aligns perfectly with ALP’s philosophy: to help people not just recover, but rebuild stronger, more resilient bodies for life.
