CAREERS AT ALP

We're always interested in hearing from enthusiastic candidates who want to make a difference in other people's lives and who have the skills and dedication to do that.

Regardless of which position you are applying for, we'd like to think you're someone who:

Cares. You are an empathetic advocate for our clients. You care about our client's experience and results making sure they're always receiving top notch service.

Knows their stuff. This can’t be your first rodeo. You must have at least 1-2 years of experience in the related field you have applied for (ie. if you've never trained a client before, please do not apply for our personal training position. But do feel free to apply for our internship position, we often hire new coaches from our internship program before it even ends).

Can read between the lines. Sometimes a client’s question isn’t always obvious, and I’m sure you know, a lot can get lost due to miscommunication. A client may be asking for one thing, and really need something else. You have an uncanny ability to read into what they are looking for, ask the right questions and exceed their expectations by responding to their real question (applies to all positions).

Has some tech skills. You are tech-savvy and easily figure out how things work. You know how to use Google applications like google sheets, documents, forms, email, etc.

Is an exceptional communicator. You know how to get your message across clearly and concisely to different audiences, both verbally and through the written word. You are able to continue a conversation asking the important questions to get the details you need to do your job and / or to help a member/client.

Embraces sales. You understand that part of your role is to be a spokesperson for the brand and you see this as an important part of how you approach your work (remember as a trainer, it's very hard to help someone if they're not your client).

Takes ownership for their actions. Mistakes are indeed natural, but you don't make them twice and when you do make them, there's no excuse.

Is committed to their craft. You were meant to be in health and fitness. It is your unique ability. You care about people and want to be sure they have everything they need to make the right decision to take the right actions for themselves and get their questions answered whenever they're stuck.

Has the ability to work independently and can ramp up quickly, for more intense periods of work. Once you are confident in what you need to do, you can run with it and don’t need a lot of direction. That said, you are not on an island. You’ll get plenty of help and support from the team when you need it.

Leaves their ego at the door. You have integrity, talent, are outgoing, have a palpable excitement about the future and don’t show it off. Shadiness, mediocrity, cynicism and excessive arrogance are out.

Wants to be part of purpose-driven organization. We are a group of health conscious professionals that exist to help Athletes and Adults optimize their health and performance so they can exceed their limits and reach their true potential. ALP-TI is a pretty incredible place and is committed to enabling you to do the work you love, and to love the work you do.
